Bill & Susan and Lil Buddy

Beignets, from Cafe Du Monde, Susan bought the mix while in New Orleans

Buddy 8 weeks old

Bill and Susan are old friends and neighbors from our houseboat days.  They were the first to sell their floating home and buy a motorhome.  We followed their adventures for a couple of years and decided that is what we wanted to do too.  They too lived full-time in their motorhome for several years and now they have a home in Yuma.  But they still travel in the summers, and when we are in Portland we all stay at the same park.  A couple of years ago they met up with us in Nashville, TN and we traveled together, this time they met us at Mesa Verde, they were returning from New Orleans where they picked up this cute little puppy.  He is just a little fluff ball that is full of energy and wants to chew on everything.
It was fun spending time and sightseeing with them, now we have headed North and they are headed South, but we will meet up with them again in Portland.

These are pictures that I took through the window, our only stop today was once for fuel.  For us a perfect day of traveling is 5 or 6 hours.  Today it was a 7 hour day to make it to Vernal Ut.  It was a beautiful drive along designated scenic highway but we were sure glad to find the RV Park.

Part of that scenic road was narrow, windy and steep and the road was not in good condition.  It was breathtaking but for a different reason.

Golly, what scenery! I continue to be riveted to your photos - those top two are mesmerizing. One thinks you'd never get tired of looking at those formations and mountains in the distance.

Glad I don't have to drive the rig: I'd be looking out the window at the views and not paying attention to driving....

Thanks for your explanation about distance in earlier post. Your camera takes fine photos, you obviously have an eye for what people like to see. Thanks for sharing. My husband and I have only ever rented motor homes for a week at a time (staying inside the track at Sebring) so am quite interested in your experiences & travels.

Safe trip and keep those terrific photos comin'.
