Wisconsin

We are now in the upper part of Wisconsin, about 50 miles South of Lake Superior. We probably have came too far North, it is really cold here,(frost warnings). A high of 54 and at night down to 34. Herm has dug out his jeans and that never makes him happy. We were planing on going home by way of North Dakota, but if he doesn't warm up we maybe headed South to Nebraska. Is it going to be tornado's or frost?
Lots of Scandinavians here in Wisconsin, we went to Norske's Nook and I had a lefsa wrap filled with Sweedish meatballs, mashed potatoes and gravy. What comfort food! Have never seen any thing like that on a menu before. We also had a good laugh when we saw Lena & Olies Kaffe Shop.
This is truly the Cheese State, lots of roadside places selling cheese from their farms, and the farms here look so traditional. They are postcard pretty.

Now that we are in the Northern part of the State, it is more lakes than farms. This seems to be huge recreation area. Lots of lakes and fishing is huge here. The largest Muske on record was caught here in Hayward.
Yesterday we visited our friends from Hayward, Cal & Addie. They are friends from Puerto Vallarta, we met them there 10 years ago at Villa Blanca and now we all stay at Vallarta Sun Suites. They have a lakeside fishing resort in Hayward. Yesterday was their 46th Wedding Aniversary.
