Mom's Woodpile

Take a look at this woodpile, it is like a piece of yard art. I can't believe that my little 83 year old Mother still stacks all of her wood. She is really proud of her woodpile and when you go to visit she will show it to you. But sadly she told me that she needs no more wood, she has enough to last her the rest of her life.  I don't believe that for one second, she will be out stacking her wood for many more years.  She very seldom ever uses her furnace, she prefers to heat with wood.
We all had a great 4th at Lake Tapps, Mom was so happy to have her family home for the holiday. Mark was up from California, sadly he came by himself. The Grandkids hate the car ride, we all hope that next year they will make the trip.
We spent 6 weeks in Portland at Jantzen Beach, I never did get used to all the noise. It starts at 4:30 with the train blowing its whislte. It is not a short little blow it goes on for 6 miles. Than the airplanes start taking off, and the last thing is the fighter jets. By the time the fighter jets take off, I am in a fighting mood.
Our boys enjoying some good clam chowder and seafoon.

Mom enjoying smoores with her Great Grandsons

Blazer Dog loves to swim in the lake, he is such of a cutie.
They hope they can get it to run!!

It was a success, those boys are so smart.

We are now staying in Chehalis, 70 miles North of Portland and enjoying a quiet little RV Park, that is on a beautiful golf course. Things are much quieter here and this is the area we grew up in, my mood is much better. I am loving it here, it is fun being close to my Sister-In-Laws and visiting old friends.
Gayle & Dave at the Golf Courses Roof Top Bar for a drink. Life is GOOD!
