The Grass is Greener

Happy Days are here, the grass is green again. We were so excited about getting into our house that we came to the desert 6 weeks earlier than we usually do. The day we arrived was 112 and they were in the middle of letting the golf course grass die. We now know not to ever come that early again, we will wait until after the scalping is complete and the winter seed is planted. But it has been fun watching the grass grow, in fact we spend a lot of our time doing just that. This green grass does not happen without using a lot of water, thank goodness it is all recycled and not drinkable.
Here is our faithful bird that visits every afternoon, I am convinced that it is a Flamingo that escaped from the Marriott Resort and has turned white from eating golf balls. Herm keeps saying no that it is a Egret.

Totally Dead

7 Days Later

After 2 weeks it is lush green

And today less than 3 weeks they mowed it
