Bartlesville,Oklahoma

My cousin Sandra Rossman Belden lives in Tulsa which is about 40 minutes away from where we are staying. We had dinner together last night and had a great visit. It was so good to catch up with her and her life. Sandra never changes, when she is around there will always be a lot of laughing.
We are staying in Bartlesville, it is a really nice town and they even have a Starbucks here. It is the home of Conoco Phillips Oil and that is probably because Bartelsville is where they first struck oil in Oklahoma. For a town of only 36000 it has a wonderful downtown with a lot of outstanding architecture. It has the only high rise that Frank Lloyd Wright ever designed.
There is more we would have liked to have seen here but ended up coming home early because of a huge thunder storm. We have had that weather channel on listening to the storm warnings around the state. Yesterday on our way here we went through Greensburg Kansas, you could tell that there had been a disastrous tornado there. We looked it up and in 2007 it destroyed 95% of the town and 11 people died. It looked so terrible that I did not want any pictures. Seeing it in person was so different for me than seeing it on the evening news. We will certainly be taking any weather warnings very serious.
Below are a couple of pictures that I took while driving through a town in Kansas. Most of the buildings were brick and everything seems very well kept.
