Geo Caching

We had so much fun today!! Our friends Scott & Tami took us Geo Caching. You all are probably wondering what is that. Well it is like a high tech Easter Egg Hunt, it was a terrific day. We found about 6 caches. First you go online and down load the information on caches for the area you want to visit. It will give you coordinates for your GPS, it is also important to read the hints. This will get you real close to where the cache is hidden. Some caches were hidden in a ammunition box, or a much smaller plastic box and we found one that was in a metal cylinder about the size of a thumb nail (that one was a magnet and attached to a guard rail). They usually are buried under a rock or in a hollow stump. We were like little kids running around, we each wanted to be the one to find it.
Herm was really good, but it was a race between him and Tami who is a pro at this.

These caches are usually hidden in a scenic area, we came across the huge old growth firs.
It was great way to get outdoors and see some new territory and also we got a lot of exercise.

These are just a few of the pictures that we took today, I can't wait to go again.

I've never heard of such a thing. It sounds like a lot of fun. We all need to get together and do it. I'm going to have to google it to learn more.
