It Was A Great Week

 We love company and last week our old houseboat neighbors, Billy & Sharon spent a few days with us.  We had a great time touring the desert and enjoying the sunshine and catching up with life on the river.
 I think that they were surprised at how much there is to do here in the valley, we enjoyed showing them around.
We discovered Elvis's house where he and Priscilla spent their honeymoon.

 The walkway leading into the house was really impressive, these stepping stones leading up to the house are sitting on top of a cascading waterfall.  That feature was not turned on, but I am sure it is very impressive.  I don't think anyone is living in the house now.  We tried the gate but it was locked, probably a good thing our we would have been knocking on their front door.

We have been having plumbing problems, last week it was the hot water heater and this week a leak below the kitchen sink.  Thank goodness Herm is so handy and enjoys fixing things. He is kind of like Tom Vick who is Vancouver s greatest handyman. Although I don't think that he enjoys laying on his back under the sink, it is a tight fit.It turns out we had a couple of issues under the sink and leaky pipe and a leaky faucet.
I was delighted about the faucet, our old one was looking tired and dated.  The faucet was on the "I Want It List". Now cross faucet off list and add new dishwasher to list.  
Herm is now outside changing the cabin filter in the Honda, he has a different king of list then I do. He has a to do list and I have the I want it list.
