A Fun And Busy Weekend

The highlight of the weekend was Herms 50 Year Class Reunion, they have a reunion every year but a 50th class reunion is extra special.  The class was small and they all went through all 12 years together so they have lots of good memories. We spent the day with lots of laughs and a few tears, they are a very special group of friends to us.

 They were having the Fall Festival at the Cedarville Barn, we could not believe the crowd of people that were there. On Saturday the weather was a perfect day to be in the country, but I was sure  surprised to see that many people would find this out of the way place. They have lots of booths set up selling food and handcrafted items.

  Here is Gloria and Bill Grandorff, Gloria and I were classmates and good friends. We were so happy to see each other that we met for dinner that night.

 Dave and Herm found sometime to do a little mushrooming.  Early in the week Herm was wondering what to do with 50pounds of mushrooms. I love his optimism, glad that they did find some, lots of times they have gone out and came home empty handed.  This time they had a success but they did not stay out long enough to get the 50 pounds that he was hoping for.

 We ended the weekend with some super 5 Guys Hamburgers. We always celebrate Rudy's Feb. Birthday before we leave for the winter.  He suggested we all go out for his favorite hamburger and it was a really good one too. They are planing on coming to Palm Desert for Spring Break, until then we will be missing them.
