Yesterday we traveled from Las Vegas to Holbrook, which is about 60 miles from the New Mexico border and 160 miles from Albuquerque. Lots of nice scenery but no bright lights like Vegas. Once you get on I-40 you have a lot of trucks and boy do they go fast. I am sure there are more trucks than cars, we just try to stay out of their way.

I think this rock is telling us something!
We decided that since we are in no hurry we would spend two nights here. Today we spent most of it visiting the Petrified Forest National Park.

I am glad that we bring our own bed with us, don't think that I would enjoy a tepee. This was on Route 66, lots of old nostalgia things to look at .
