Yes, we are in the very South West corner of Kansas, we are in Liberal Kansas and this is Wizard of Oz Country. It is so windy here I hope that it does not pick us up and take us over the rainbow.
Today we started off in Santa Rosa New Mexico, crossed over the top corner of Texas into Oklahoma and now we are in Kansas. Once we were East of Albuquerque and out of the Painted Desert all their was to see was miles and miles of pucker brush. But once we crossed the Oklahoma border things changed and now we are in cattle country. Huge feed lots and lots and lots of cowboys.
The RV park is bordering a cattle ranch, the owner (Nancy) told us she was tired of being in a corral chasing cows and driving a tracker so her & hubby fenced off part of the field and turned it into a RV Park for her to run. It is great to sit in our rig and look out at the cattle. She said we are 1 week to early, because next week they are turning the bull loose with the cows.
The owner told us she had a couple staying here from Ireland, he asked her if the windmill was used to cool off the cattle. And was serious.
