Lots of Fun With Family

The Grandkids love going to the Lake
For us summer is spending time with family, and what a fun time we have had.  Mark and the kids drove up to spend the 4th with us. They do not sell fireworks in California at least nothing like they sell in Washington. The kids love setting off fireworks too, this year again they had a huge fireworks disply for us to watch.  Mark and Doug are like two big kids they love setting them off too, luckly all went well, no damage to body or property. I was relieved when it was over, I always worry that they are going to have a miss fire and will loose a finger or set the neighbors house on fire.
Two brothers enjoying the day
Doug spent 3 days grilling, I should of kept track of the hours that he spent watching the smoke. He is a true believer in charcoal, and is trying to get his dad to switch over. Herm likes something a little more instant like gas. But I will say the brisket that Doug grilled was so good, it was worth waiting for.  I think one of the reasons they like to grill is the amount of time it takes.  They take advantage of it by relaxing and having a few beers.

Another day of Grilling, this time it was some fabulous brisket
After the 4th Doug and Garrett had to go to work, so the rest of us went up and spent a couple of days with Mom.  Perfect weather for being at the lake, we all love it there.
This summer Garrett landed a job as a  apprentice electrician, what a great summer job for him. Hope that he likes it and is a quick learner.  I would love to have another electrical outlet and improved patio lighting.

This is just a small amount of the fish that Herm & Doug smoked
Garrett testing out his new tools, I hope that he does not get shocked.

Craig and; Deige spent a sunny day with us at the lake. We took the old raft out for a ride. That raft is old, it was on the raft where Doug & Vicki met.
