Rocky Mountain High

Yes, we are in Colorado and will be staying here for four nights. This is a very scenic area, our RV Park looks out to Mesa Verde National Park.
Today's drive was across the high desert where the altitude   averaged  6500 feet, what a surprise we had when we got out and walked around, we felt out of breath.  We are hoping to do some hiking in the National Park but first we will have to adjust to this thin air.
The weather here is perfect, 85 during the day and down to the low 40's at night.  This will be the first time in the last couple of months that we have needed a blanket.
Herm is getting a good laugh, my wonderful phone that does everything has no signal here in the RV Park, but Herms little cheapie works great.  So if you want to talk to me you will have to go through Herm.
Took lots of pictures of these interesting rock formations.

It was a beautiful drive through red rock country, lots of little roadside tables with Indians selling turquoise and beads.  One of the signs gave us a good laugh."We are Nice Indians  at this stand". We did not pull off to check it out and business did not look to good for any of them.

These are great photos, stunning country, just amazing. Thanks for posting them, I look forward to more as you continue your travels. You can't take too many for me! as I have not traveled in that area.

Are the ones from today taken as you were riding in the passenger seat? They turn out well. You two sound like you travel well together. Safe travels.
