Geocaching with the Grandkids

Today we went Geocaching with Mark, Hermie and Casey.  They are spending a few days with us,and we have been busy the whole time. The kids and I have had lots of projects, like sewing a cozy for Casey's I-Touch and baking a Red Velvet Cake, making beaded bracelets and playing lots of cards.
This morning we went Geo caching. This was their first time, Hermie was great with the GPS and Casey found the first treasure.  The first Cache was in the  parking lot between two churches. It was between the Churches that Gerald Ford and Eisenhower attended while they lived here.  The second cache was at the desert center, in the cactus garden.  Geocaching takes us places that the grandkids would never go to willing, but dangle a treasure and they are on it. Today none of the caches had any treasures, but the kids said that this Spring when they come back they want to do some more hunting.
Tonight Mark & his dad are going through old pictures and finding lots of interesting things in the old family trunk. Mark has been so surprised to see some of things that we have saved from his school years, like his first wallet.

what a great idea? Never heard of it before but it does sound like a good active game. You guys always love games. Maybe later you played cards. Thanks for sharing.
