Screaming Down The Highway

Life is soooo good, we are back on the road. You can tell from the pictures that we both love to be on the go.
Last year we did not do much driving because of the fuel price. But this year things are looking up and we are on the move.
I always keep track of our fuel cost and last year we spent $1214.00 for the coach and the highest we paid was $4.39 per gal. Our first fill up this year was in Bakersfield and we paid $2.39 per gal. That sure is a much easier price to pay.
We are spending a couple of days in Pahrump NV at Terrible's Lakeside RV Park. It is a real surprise!! After driving for 5 hours and seeing only desert we arrive and here is a well planned RV Park around a lake. You need to have reservations for this park, it is really popular. Lots of families come here for the weekend from Vegas. They have the lake stocked with fish and also have paddle boats to rent.

They have even created a little sandy beach with palapa's, made us feel like we were back in Puerto Vallarta. My cousin Larry Thorp who just bought a townhouse in las Vegas spent the afternoon with us.
