Word travels quickly here, our neighbor returned from his early morning walk and told us that a turtle eggs were hatching on the beach. By the time we arrived the turtles were in a bucket and a lady was having a heated discussion with the police. From what we could understand she was wanting the turtles for her self. She said if the police took the babies they would make turtle soup out of them. I can not imagine arguing with the police when they are standing there in their flack jackets and holding machine guns. This all went on for about 1/2 hour until the lady handed them over to the police. I really don't think they will eat them. I am sure they will be delivered to the protected reserve. This all ended very peacefully and everyone walked away.
We left the beach in search of Herm's barber, he had moved so he went to a new place. I am still in shock!! she picked up the shears and just shaved him bald. Herm said he did not understand what she was asking and he said yes. I know he did not have much hair, but what he had was such of a beautiful silver color. Now his head is white and shiny, the good thing is he is ok with it. He said in a month it will all be back.
