Last week week we went to Hoods Canal, we love it up there and usually spend a couple of weeks.
This year we had to stay at a different park. In the past we always stayed at Pleasant Harbor, we loved that poor unkept park. It has now been sold to a mega developer and they are putting in a golf course and condos. I am sure it will now be out of our price range. We still have our good memories. Nancy recommended Pleasant Harbor to us, the first time we stayed we booked in for a week. When we arrived we were not so sure that we could stand to stay there for a full week. It was very isolated, very few people in the park and seemed really rustic and at night it was so quiet. After two days we were hooked. The private beach and all of those oysters and steamer clams. For the last couple of years we talked several of our RVing friends to come up and join us. Everybody's reaction was like ours on that first night there, " and you like it here". After the second day they too were in love, we have had some really good times. In the evenings we would all go to the club house for a Texas Holdem game and all of those oysters.
The park this year had a beautiful view of the water, but the camp sites were very close to each other. It is a well kept park but it just did not win our hearts.
Below are some pictures fro Pleasant Harbor
