A day at the Botanical Gardens, funny thing is I have no pictures of the beautiful orchids and flowers that were here. It was the crazy macaw that harassed us. This bird took a liking to Gayle, he could relate to her turquoise outfit she was wearing. It would swoop down and dive bomb us coming within a 1/2 inch of our hair. In one of the pictures you can see it sitting on the rail, Dave the brave one took off his hat and gave it a good thrashing. But the bird did not back down, it was hissing and pecking. Dave took a step back and it was decided the bird was the definte winner. We later heard that he has ripped out earrings and really is a nuisance. We were all wondering what Macaw dumplings would taste like.
Lettie the shrimp lady, how can you resist buying shrimp from her. She has the most wonderful smile and always is so happy to see us. These shrimp are huge, the price is marked 110 pesos per Kilo but she always says for her friends only 90 pesos and she even cleans them. They are so fresh and good. We have had them every way we can think of, we feel
