Family & Fun

It was a great week with family and sightseeing, now Sue is home watching it snow and Vick & Wayne are nearly home.
We did our usual tour up to Joshua Tree NP and a ride to the top of the tram.  Poor little sister, we picked Sue up from the airport and drove directly to the tram.  We know she is afraid of heights so we thought it would be better if she did not have time to think about it.  Going up she was holding on and her face was the color of snow. When we were back to the car, she did say that she was glad she did it. The views are awesome from 8500 ft.

The next day we loaded in the car and drove to Oceanside to see the oldest Ostergard sister, Bev. We had such of a nice visit with her and her family. The last time we had seen her grandkids they were babies, what a nice family she has. It is about a 2 hour drive over the mountains on a very steep and very curvy road. We were hoping that we would not be driving that road in the dark, but we visited to long and it was a nerve racking ride down that curvy road at night and then it was rainy too. We made it home safely and all had a couple of lemon drops.
Before the family arrived we had so many lemons on our tree that we were worried they would go to waste. Not a problem, we have found out that just about everyone loves lemon drops.

Poor little Weston was really missing his Nana & Papa, here he is standing at their door. He said he was going to stand there until the got home he did not understand that they would be gone for three weeks.
