Mt. Rainer

Gayle & Dave

Where does everyone go when the thermometer is 98??  They all go to Mt. Rainer, and on Saturday we thought that would be a good place for us to go.  What a surprise,  we arrived at the mountain and all the parking lots were full and there were so many people everywhere.  The lesson is: not to go when it is a free day of admittance for all National Parks, but the temperature sure did feel good up there, it was a comfortable 78 degrees.   We had planed on eating in the Paradise Lodge Dining Room but we could not even find a place to park and looking at the lines for the restrooms we knew that we would never get into the dining room.  It was still a good day, the drive up was beautiful. Lots of wild flowers were in bloom and there was many breathtaking views of some very steep canyons.  And we did not go hungry, we just had to wait until we were outside the park to find a place where we could park.
Blazer Dog is a perfect tourist, he loves riding in the car
